Lorem Ipsum comes from a work by Cicero written in 45 BC, titled "De finibus bonorum et malorum" (On the ends of good and evil). Specifically from sections 1.10.32 and 1.10.33. The original text begins: "Neque porro quisquam est qui dolorem ipsum quia dolor sit amet, consectetur, adipisci velit..." which means "There is no one who loves pain itself, who seeks after it and wants to have it, simply because it is pain..."
